A Duster's Day
Fluttering of wings in the morning air
A bright new day begins anew
Rising from mushies like sparkling mist
To bathe in golden drops of dew
The Glade awakes, time to fly
Drinking their nectar on the run
Hurrying to spread cheer
Keeping pace with the sun
Grasping magic wands and bags
Of fairy dust in two tiny hands
We know not where they go
But we know when one lands
Laughter like bells
And sprinkles fill the air
Sunny smiles cheer our days
The Dusters have been there!
Then, in a twinkling,
They soar out of sight
To dust other Sisters
Long into the night
Until the moon crests
And they return to their beds
Lay aside their wands
And rest their weary heads
Then they dream in bright colors
All the evening through
Until the next day dawns
With more work to do
So the next time a Duster
Visits you true
Make sure you tell them
A heartfelt THANK YOU!
